Alabama-based K-Pop Minicon is holding their second annual convention in Atlanta, GA this year. Held at the Gas South Convention Center, the same venue as their inaugural event in 2024, this year’s event is shaping to be the best yet!
This year’s event will bring together the activities one would expect from any fandom convention: panels, a vendor hall, and concerts! However, expect photocard trading, K-Pop dances, and fan meetings with special guests at K-Pop Minicon!
The event on their Facebook page has these activities in store for the 2025 event:
- Panels (apply to host one!)
- Vendor Hall
- Mini Concert
- Multi Format RDPs
- Photocard Trading
- Dance Competitions
- Workshops
- Watch Room
- 18+/21+ Activities
- Freebies
- And more!
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Gas South Convention Center. Tickets are on sale now and start at $35 before fees. I attended the first K-Pop Minicon in 2024, and it was a lot of fun for a single day event—especially with special guests of Beomhan and Korean R&B artist, GSoul! Check out our shorts from last year’s event!

K-Pop Minicon started in Birmingham, Alabama, as a high school K-Pop club that continued beyond high school. Their mission is “to foster fandom wherever we go. We hope to build communities and create an avenue for fans to make friends.“ They have put on fan events in their home state of Alabama and in other cities in the Southeastern United States.
