Since 2017, Toho International’s North American film and television distribution wing, GKIDS, has put together a compilation of movies from the legendary Japanese animation powerhouse, Studio Ghibli, especially from legendary animator, Hayao Miyazaki, for the distributor’s annual Studio Ghibli Fest that can be seen for a limited time in select theaters in North America in nearly a year-long schedule.

Representing Centaku Media, I was lucky to catch the limited screening of Princess Mononoke (which recently got an IMAX remaster this past Spring), and Pom Poko with local members of Chattanooga’s anime fandom scene during Ghibli Fest 2024. This year I have yet to check out which Ghibli movie I’ve missed from the Studio Ghibli catalog for 2025. (Don’t hurt me—but I have yet to see My Neighbor Totoro… Perhaps soon!)

As of writing, Kiki’s Delivery Service had a limited engagement run on May 17-21, 2025. Here is what’s coming up for the rest of 2025, with the upcoming 15th anniversary screening of The Secret World of Arrietty on June 22, concluding with the 2024 Oscar-winning The Boy and The Heron in November, from the Studio Ghibli Fest 2025 page:
