I teased this on my Instagram account about a panel (or two) that I was working on for an “local con”. That local convention is Metrotham Con, Chattanooga’s newest multifandom convention!
October 24th was Metrotham Con’s inaugural Virtual Day event, held in lieu of the second year of events on the rescheduled dates of October 23-25, originally scheduled for May 1-3, 2020. As with many conventions going the digital route, Metrotham Con’s event featured pre-recorded panels, with the addition of live events featuring Virtual Day exclusive guests.
One of the panels I contributed to Metrotham Con’s Virtual Day is all about Gundam. Enter: The 40 Years of Gundam in 30 Minutes, chronicling the franchise’s complex (and albeit expensive in some cases) timelines in its 40 year history. I originally did I panel like this for Anime Blast Chattanooga several years back, and now I’m excited to present this panel to those who are interested in Metrotham Con!
If you missed the panel live during Virtual Day, check out the panel in its entirety below, courtesy of the official Metrotham Con channel on YouTube. Be sure to check out their channel for all the panels aired during Virtual Day. Enjoy!
Bonus: be sure to check out the Gundam 101 series for those who need a reference as they venture through the Gundam Universe!
