In case you missed the huge announcement last week from Crunchyroll, they are bringing us 8 original series under the brand Crunchyroll Originals, consisting of productions from independent creators, and series based on popular WEBTOON series.
One of the surprises from the announcement is the adaptation of the WEBTOON series, The God of High School, created by Yongje Park, which has also had a successful mobile game adaptation which is sure to be the Dragon Ball–with high schoolers. Another one of much anticipation, and a popular WEBTOON series is Tower of God, created by SIU about a young male battling his way towards a tower that holds many mysteries.

In/Spectre – In this Crunchyroll Original, supernatural romance mixes with an enthralling, fantastical mystery, as a duo sets out to solve a series of dark incidents plaguing their world. Airing now on Crunchyroll.

Onyx Equinox – In this Crunchyroll Studios Production created by Sofia Alexander, a young Aztec boy is saved from death by the gods and chosen to act as ‘humanity’s champion,’ forced to discard his apathy toward his fellow man and prove humanity’s potential in a fight that spans across fantastical-yet-authentic Mesoamerican cultures.
