The New Boy Group Members From “LOUD” K-Pop Survival Reality TV Show

There is another K-Pop survival TV show in the wild that I did not know about until it was announced that two new boy groups would be joining the endless sea of K-Pop groups, called "LOUD". Of the two groups set for their future debut, they will be joining the ranks of JYP Entertainment and Psy’s PNATION label.

Music Spotlight: Jang Geun Suk’s “Let Me Cry” and “Amagoi” (雨恋)

Back in late 2011, I wrote a Music Spotlight post (FKA “Ni-Ongaku Spotlight”) highlighting a song released by South Korean actor Jang Geun Suk. At the time of writing he was the most desired actor Japanese fans wanted to see in the midst of the Korean Wave in Japan, trending above even AKB48, and performing at a sold out concert at the Tokyo Dome.

In Pictures: 90s KPOP Superstars Concert

On October 29th, 2015, Star1 Entertainment held the 90s KPOP Superstars Concert in the Metro Atlanta area at Wild Bill’s nightclub (now known as Atlanta Coliseum) in Duluth, GA, which was a surprise treat (pun intended because of the eve Halloween Eve) for K-Pop fans who live in the Southeast.

Music Spotlight: Taeyang – Wedding Dress

I normally cover songs you may not have heard of before, or rather ones that fall in the indie spectrum, and general obscurity. But this one is a good candidate for those who have just gotten into K-Pop, especially in the current BTS era (or Generation 3, for a veteran such as myself–more to come in another post). One of my favorite K-Pop groups is BIGBANG, which I’ve followed since their debut, and one of the members is Taeyang who released one of his memorable solo singles of his career in 2009.
