Dragon Ball Daima is a new and upcoming entry in the Dragon Ball anime universe that tells us the story of Goku and the gang from a different point of view. It is the last Dragon Ball anime to be directly supervised by Akira Toriyama who passed away this past March, and gives fans all the more reason to be excited for more Dragon Ball to honor the late creator this fall.

This is another entry into a new series called “Interest Treasures”, where I highlight something that not many people know about within a fandom–that even the fandom doesn’t know about–within a geeky–or for the sake of this blog: an Otaku interest. The first entry in the tag, I highlighted a K-Pop artist who is called the “90s G-Dragon”, Yang Joon Il. Trying something new for the podcast, although this is not entirely new. The “Centaku Media Journal” has been seen through a couple of formats: published on the original blog as “The CEN.TAKU.ME Journal”, as well as attempted for opening our weekly gaming livestreams. This will be a feature published on a bi-weekly basis to accompany the monthly episodes, highlighting the latest news in the anime, gaming, and Japanese and Korean entertainment industries. This way the main episodes won’t be as long as the pilot episode. ?

Interesting, albeit unless fact: I began writing this post back in 2013 as a regular feature called “Character of the Month“, right when I hit my severe writer’s block and eventually having a family emergency stacked on top of it. Several years later, and after having a “was that a dream?” moment involving this very same character I attempted to write about, I decided to dust off and flesh out that post for a potential new series moving forward called Character Spotlight. For the first post in the series, I wanted to talk about Treize Khushrenada from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
Revisiting the previous chapter of Dragon Ball Super, I was skeptical about it as received a notification on my phone that mentioned that Vegeta’s training was underway on Yardrat, and that I expected that he was only going to get about 5 pages, then we would never see him again until a few months later.
