In this edition of Channel Surfing, I bring to you Dr. Stone. This series was part of the highly anticipated anime lineup for Summer 2019, and just in time for the season finale, I finally bring myself from my hectic schedule to tell everyone what it’s all about. To me, I think this is the most exciting anime I have ever watched on the level of Fullmetal Alchemist.

You’re reading the first edition of the Weekly Stream Notes, highlighting news and stream highlights every week during the livestreams on the Centaku Media channel on Twitch. The idea was inspired from the Weekly Minutes I wrote as Secretary in our local anime club, Scenic City Anime & More, and from the original blog series inspired from those minutes, The CEN.TAKU.ME Journal. With these minutes, it will help introduce Centaku Media to both readers and viewers, new and old, as well as helping myself in keeping up with the littlest things I said during a 3 hour broadcast.

Love Hina was also a part of an attempt of a series called “Anime at Large“, which would eventually be renamed to “The Forgotten“, which highlights anime series that I’ve watched in the past, but were lost to license issues, or just general obscurity, in which another way to watch it was sought after. If you’re on a withdrawal from Dragon Ball Super, especially after the release of the Broly movie in theatres, here is the chance to check out Super Dragon Ball Heroes! Super Dragon Ball Heroes is a mini-series featuring the characters of the modern Dragon Ball universe, as well as new faces, as seen in the animated scenes from the Dragon Ball Heroes game. This is a promotional series for the game that began in July 2018, and is a web exclusive.
The idea for this edition of Channel Surfing came as this: In a random quest to find Korean anime on YouTube at 3 AM, I came across this series called “Flowering Heart”. It’s probably what you think it is: a magical girl anime series–that tackles issues as such in 10 minutes every week.
Each episode is roughly 12 minutes long, and there are two seasons of the show that began in 2016. It’s a Korean anime series targeted to “tweens”, as described in the description and video titles. What really caught my attention is that it has an English dub, which can be viewed right now on the series official YouTube channel.
