Metrotham Con Goes Virtual + Outdoor Vendor Event

2020 is known as the year without conventions or any events to attend due to COVID-19 concerns. A lot of well known conventions such as MomoCon, Anime Expo, and now soon to be Anime Weekend Atlanta are hosting digital events in lieu of their traditional physical conventions. Metrotham Con is the latest convention to host a virtual event, as well as an outdoor event in Chattanooga.

Interest Treasures: The 5 Best Dragon Ball Videos on YouTube

This is another entry into a new series called “Interest Treasures”, where I highlight something that not many people know about within a fandom–that even the fandom doesn’t know about–within a geeky–or for the sake of this blog: an Otaku interest. The first entry in the tag, I highlighted a K-Pop artist who is called the “90s G-Dragon”, Yang Joon Il. Today, I figured I cover 5 of the Best Dragon Ball Videos on YouTube, where even a big, long running fandom that might have missed; especially for new comers.

Episode Previews in Anime: Encouragement or Distraction?

In my attempts of binge watching anime series of new and old, I’ve learned a better way to get through a show without procrastinating on whether I should watch just one more episode to make it my fifth episode of the day. That is: omitting episode previews of the next episode.

Centaku Media Journal: Episode #01

Trying something new for the podcast, although this is not entirely new. The “Centaku Media Journal” has been seen through a couple of formats: published on the original blog as “The CEN.TAKU.ME Journal”, as well as attempted for opening our weekly gaming livestreams. This will be a feature published on a bi-weekly basis to accompany the monthly episodes, highlighting the latest news in the anime, gaming, and Japanese and Korean entertainment industries. This way the main episodes won’t be as long as the pilot episode. ?

Mobile Suit Abridged Gundam Wing [Channel Surfing]

I was deciding whether to talk about this within the Channel Surfing series, or outside of it as a separate post, considering the nature of this next entry I am about to talk about. If you’ve been here for a minute, you can probably tell that I am a huge advocate of the Gundam franchise, and especially of the series that started me on the course of what the franchise has to offer: Gundam Wing.

Channel Surfing: Love Hina

This post was originally written on March 15th, 2009. Love Hina was also a part of an attempt of a series called “Anime at Large“, which would eventually be renamed to “The Forgotten“, which highlights anime series that I’ve watched in the past, but were lost to license issues, or just general obscurity, in which another way to watch it was sought after. Now that I’ve settled down after the relaunching phase of this blog, it would be perfect to include a classic post as part of the Channel Surfing series!
