Four episodes in of Pokémon: Twilight Wings, and we finally get to see Best Girl, Nessa! Keeping with an apparent theme of these episodes involving gym leaders (see Episode 2 featuring Bea), Nessa is in deep thought following a recent battle against fellow gym leader, Milo.

Today’s Channel Surfing entry is of a new webseries called Pokémon: Twilight Wings. It is based on the eighth and current generation of the franchise’s Sword and Shield series, set in the Galar region. When I first found out about it, I thought it was the plot of the recently announced expansions for Gen 8, and I hesitated as I saw that it involved Leon and Chairman Rose: the reason being is that at the time I didn’t participate in the championships yet, and didn’t want to be spoiled of the “results”, hahaha! Then I saw “anime series”, and had to drop everything I was doing at the moment to check it out.

February 27th, 2020 marks Pokémon’s 24th anniversary since the release of the first Pokémon games in the series. And what better time than to stumble across a gem from a part of the franchise that is the 2.B.A. Master soundtrack, featuring original music for the English dub of the Pokémon anime?

In the second episode of Pokémon: Twilight Wings, we are introduced to Bea. She is the fourth Gym Leader players go up against exclusively in Pokémon Sword, where it seems little is known about her at first glance. But in this episode, we get to see her blowing off some steam after a recent battle.
Here is something a little different that requires me to feature this as a Music Spotlight post, and one that features another VOCALOID song, because there isn’t enough on this blog–and some gems I have yet to discover to share with everyone! This one I came across while I was browsing around on Pixiv in the Pokémon Sword & Shield tags, an entry from what looks like to be an animation featuring the Gym Leaders Raihan (Kibana/キバナ) and Piers (Nezu/ネズ).

Got excited when I heard about the new Pokémon webseries, Twilight Wings. The first episode features Leon and Chairman Rose, but it’s so short at only 6 minutes! Who else thinks these should be full length episodes? And when can I expect more?!
