Centaku Media Podcast – Episode #01: Let’s Survive 5 Days in South Korea (+ Show Notes)

In the first official episode of the Centaku Media podcast, Sanjo-chan talks about her recent trip to South Korea, and why she chose to go to the land of K-Pop over an Otaku’s dream trip to Japan. Also, she explains how she survived the 5 day trip using a few essential apps, and a reflection of moments experienced during the journey.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop [Novel Impressions]

This post was originally published in June 2013. In honor of 2020 being the 25th anniversary of Gundam Wing, here is the republication of my review of the novel sequel to Gundam Wing, Frozen Teardrop.

Important: since it’s been so long since I read what was translated in the novels, I made a slight error that was pointed out by a commenter on the previous blog. I still have the comment somewhere in the massive MySQL file that I managed to save, but it’s buried in my to-do list of other things I got caught up in. Please feel free to (constructively, politely, please) correct me in the meantime!

The Seoul Searching Chronicles: 5 Takeaways From Seoul

This entry is part 6 of 6 in the series The Seoul Searching Chronicles

Thank you for sticking around the blog and for following the Seoul Searching Chronicles series! As a bonus, I wanted to post my thoughts about my recent trip to South Korea, and talk about some things that I would really, really like to see in my home country (although that is easier said than done, as the thought of it wouldn’t “make any sense” to us Americans).

The Seoul Searching Chronicles: COEX Aquarium

This entry is part 4 of 6 in the series The Seoul Searching Chronicles

Welcome to part four of The Seoul Searching Chronicles! In this post we went back to the COEX Mall to check out the COEX Aquarium, where we were told that we had to check out during our visit! It’s an aquarium that looks small on the outside, but it was very worth the price of admission (around $20 USD)–and you get to see sharks! Pardon the lack of words moving forward as this was in a format of a “speedrun” so to speak, while at the same time more of being in awe of the attractions. Although I think I took more pictures from this place than anywhere else in Seoul, so only select photos of interest will be highlighted in this post. More pictures and exclusives will be on the Centaku Media page on Facebook following the conclusion of the Seoul Searching series!
