Back in August 2018, I gave myself the task of livestreaming on Twitch throughout the month streaming the remainder of Overwatch’s 11th competitive season on the Centaku Media channel, which concluded at the end of August. Then I was sidetracked by con preparation in September, and Internet issues in October. Now that a lot of the issues are out of the way, there’s still a lot to do in establishing a quality livestream!

Author’s Thoughts: Considering the nature of Final Fantasy XV, I thought the game would have something similar, which it does, in a way: when Prompto asks Noctis who does he (the player) want to see more photos of: Ignis, Gladiolus, Prompto, or Noctis himself. If Final Fantasy X was remastered for a second time, I wished they added photo mode. There is one character who does not get enough photo opportunities! ^_^

In the mid-2000s, before I launched the original Centaku Media blog, I used to highlight horrible players for the pettiest things done upon unsuspecting players, including getting kicked from a Linkshell in Final Fantasy XI because of “spies”, and myself getting told I needed to heal more, playing a level 20 Red Mage, from a Monk player of the same level, getting removed from the party immediately after announcing I had to log off for the day.
In the time since, many game companies have announced efforts to curb toxicity in many of their hit games, such as League of Legends and Overwatch, and more recently Final Fantasy XIV. After relaunching Centaku Media, I’ve struggled as to whether to return to my “roots” of doing such a thing. While I do not like to encourage witch hunts of sorts, it has to be known of what the offending player did, because they can easily get away with their actions due to the fact that they are hiding behind a fictional 3D character with a name (and behavior) that one does not use in the real world when applying for a job, or buying a car.
Overwatch is another beast I’ve taken interest in since I’ve been on a blogging hiatus, so some discussion is now expected on this blog. With that said, the latest Overwatch hero was recently announced at BlizzCon this past weekend.
If you missed the 2nd Anniversary Livestream for the release of Final Fantasy XV, it was announced with bittersweetness that the upcoming DLC to conclude the story of what could have been Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Episode Ardyn, will be the last.
Square-Enix recently announced an upcoming livestream event to be streamed on November 7th at 9:00 PM PST that is related to Final Fantasy XV. It’s very likely related to the game’s upcoming second anniversary, which is on November 29th.
Sony recently revealed the full game list for the upcoming release of the Playstation Classic system. Slated for released on December 3rd, 2018, the miniature version of the PS1 will include 20 hit games, though some of them might not be considered a hit, or rather missed opportunities.
